It's one of the things you should do to improve your page rank. 2. It's not that you HAVE to keep adding new content but you SHOULD get used to doing it. Google recognise that content is added and, again, it all contributes to the success of your site. 3. You're absolutely right that you have to judge the number of sites that you have live at any one time if all of them need your input every day. Saying that, once they are live you can easily outsource things like article writing, backlinking and blogging if you have limited time. This will mean extra budget allocation of course.
